Devious Bloggery

My second attempt at bloggery, Badda Blog!, went from August of ‘04 to November of ‘05. The blog was the backbone of my old website, www.baddaboom.org, and was where I truly learned to commit nasty bloggery upon an unsuspecting public. Unfortunately, my site host charged me a ridiculous monthly amount for services and when I tried to switch they wanted to charge me another ridiculous amount. Instead of paying them a bunch of money (and being courteous to my readers), I got pissed and turned the whole thing off, figuring I’d wait out the transfer and renewal.

I’m glad I took the hiatus, however, because it gave me time to think about whether I wanted to go on blogging (I obviously do) and it allowed me to focus on what others were doing with their blogs (and the things that I would have handled differently in particular posts), which made me realize I have a lot to offer this sport.

When it came time to renew BB! or do something new, I decided to start afresh, keeping my old persona “jdoublep” and creating Devious Bloggery as the backbone for my new site, jasonpreu.com.

I was doing BB! during a very interesting and important time in my life – my then-girlfriend-now-wife was just getting started with the fledgling Kansas City Roller Warriors roller derby league; we got engaged; we got married and we bought our first house. So, by all means, feel free to read through the archived posts of Badda Blog! here, in the Badda Blog! Graveyard.
